Get To Know Maurice
Maurice McCaney was born and raised in the Florence, Alabama and has lived in the community his entire life. Before earning his Juris Doctorate of Law at Cumberland School of Law, Maurice graduated from the University of Alabama at Birmingham with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science & Sociology and a Bachelor of Arts degree with a focus in English from Samford University.
Continuing forward, Maurice became licensed to practice law in Alabama in 2014 which provided the foundation for his current role as Attorney at Woodruff & McCaney, LLC. Maurice continues to give back to his community and justice by participating on a board level in organizations, American Association of Christian Schools and Lauderdale County Republican Executive Committee.
Maurice is a dedicated husband and father, and is rooted in his faith which is shown through his passionate leadership and service at Victory Christina Church Academy and Church.
As a life-long resident of Florence, Alabama, Maurice is dedicated to District One and is passionate about moving the District forward while focusing on the campaign issues.
